Your Guide to Semmes Fall Events in October 2026

Between Oct. 13 and Oct. 27, the City of Semmes calendar has food trucks at Honor Park three Tuesdays in a row. It also has a free outdoor movie on a 60-acre farm with about 15 trucks on site, and a Sunday festival that runs from noon to 6 p.m. The haunted trail and the costume contest make up the rest of the month.

The full October 2026 calendar lists the events one at a time. Taken together, they show that late October here is mostly evenings out where dinner is part of the plan, and nearly all of it happens inside Semmes. Here's the stretch from Tuesday, Oct. 13 through Tuesday, Oct. 27, in order, with what's confirmed and what isn't.

Tuesdays at Honor Park: the routine you can count on

Food Truck Tuesdays are the steady part of the month. The city's listing puts them on Oct. 13, 20 and 27. The trucks set up at Semmes Honor Park, 4100 Wulff Road East, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the event listing says a "small variety of food trucks" comes each week.

The hours are what make it useful. An 11-to-7 window covers a weekday lunch and an early weeknight dinner, so you don't have to pick one. None of the listings we checked name the trucks, so the lineup is a surprise until you get there.

Three Tuesdays, one address and the same hours each week make these the easiest dates to plan around. The bigger events in between follow the same pattern on a larger scale.

Saturday, Oct. 17: a movie on Stone Road

Family Movie Night at Loblolly Farm is the biggest food-truck night of the month. The event page on OpenTruck lists the details:

  • Gates open: 5:30 p.m.
  • Movie starts: 6:30 p.m.
  • Admission: free
  • Food trucks: 15+

That's a lot more trucks than a regular Tuesday at Honor Park. The page says there will be about 15 on site. You can walk up to any of them, or order ahead in the OpenTruck app by scanning QR codes shown on the big screen and on signs around the venue. The page says to bring blankets, chairs and the kids. As of now, the movie title "will be announced once licensing is locked in."

The setting matters too. Loblolly Farm calls itself a "60 acre outdoor event venue" with spaces for weddings, parties and corporate events. It's at 9930 Stone Road in Semmes, so this is a privately run event venue, not one of the city's parks. Many people who have lived here for years have never seen a wedding venue from the inside unless they were on a guest list. A free Saturday night is a rare chance to walk the grounds.

The city calendar also lists a Youth Basketball Camp the same day, so a family with a camper can fill the whole Saturday without leaving town.

Sunday, Oct. 18: the Fall Festival on Snow Road

The next afternoon, the Fall Festival moves the action to the other side of town. The city's page for the festival mostly links to a vendor application. The specifics come from Mobile County's listing for the festival: it's at Mary G. Montgomery High School, 4275 Snow Road N., from noon to 6 p.m.

The county posted the listing because the Mobile County Animal Shelter will have a booth at the festival with adoptable dogs and adoption information. If your household has been talking about adding a dog, the shelter's dogs will be at a school parking lot on a Sunday afternoon, right in town.

Because it runs six hours in the middle of the day, the festival doesn't compete with Saturday night. Both fit in one weekend, with the movie Saturday evening and the festival Sunday afternoon.

The middle of the week, Oct. 20–22

The second Tuesday of food trucks at Honor Park falls on Oct. 20. After that, the calendar turns to the city's own business for a few days. Oct. 21 and 22 both list Senior Mock Interviews. The 22nd also has a Finance Committee Meeting and a Municipal Court session, and the city calendar shows Eerie Acres starting that same Thursday.

That Thursday start is the first of the open questions below.

Oct. 23–25: Eerie Acres, with last year's details labeled as last year's

The city calendar shows Eerie Acres Haunted Attraction on Oct. 22, 23, 24 and 25. The attraction's own city detail page says something different: "Trail Dates Oct. 23-25th." It also has a ticket link. The trail dates on the detail page come from the event itself, so Friday through Sunday is the safer plan. Check the ticket page before you go on Thursday.

The 2026 page doesn't list hours, prices or an address. The 2025 event is the closest guide, and those details may have changed:

Detail 2025 edition 2026 status
Dates Oct. 23–26, 2025 Trail dates listed as Oct. 23–25
Hours 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Not yet posted on the city page
Tickets $15 adults, $10 kids 10 and under Sold through a Square ticket page; price not shown on the city page
Location 8005 Morris Hill Road, Semmes Not stated on the city page
Proceeds Sponsor free community events and local charities Not stated on the city page

The 2025 hours, prices and proceeds information come from Mobile County's 2025 event listing. The Morris Hill Road address comes from FOX10's coverage last October. An older city listing for the trails names the organizer as Creative Collective of Talents and Time. The 2026 listing doesn't name one.

Going by last year's hours, Eerie Acres runs at night, so a family on the haunted trail is looking for dinner somewhere else. It's the one late-October event where food isn't planned into the evening, at least based on what's posted so far.

Saturday, Oct. 24: Howl-O-Ween at 4 p.m.

Howl-O-Ween is on the Saturday of the Eerie Acres weekend. The city's event page says registration happens at the event at 4 p.m. An AllEvents listing linked from the city's Food Truck Tuesdays page calls it the "Howl-o-ween Dog Costume Contest," on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. Neither page gives an address or a fee, so check the city's event page before you get the dog into costume.

The 4 p.m. start does make for an easy Saturday. The contest can run in the late afternoon, and anyone going to Eerie Acres can head to the trail after dark.

Tuesday, Oct. 27: the last round of food trucks

The month ends where it started, at Honor Park. Oct. 27 is the last Food Truck Tuesday on the October calendar. That evening also has the Planning Commission Meeting. On Wednesday, Oct. 28, the calendar lists Coffee Connections Networking.

Here is the whole stretch in one list:

  1. Tue., Oct. 13: Food Truck Tuesdays, Semmes Honor Park, 4100 Wulff Road East, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  2. Sat., Oct. 17: Family Movie Night, Loblolly Farm, 9930 Stone Road; gates 5:30 p.m., movie 6:30 p.m., free
  3. Sun., Oct. 18: Fall Festival, Mary G. Montgomery High School, 4275 Snow Road N., noon to 6 p.m.
  4. Tue., Oct. 20: Food Truck Tuesdays, Honor Park
  5. Fri.–Sun., Oct. 23–25: Eerie Acres Haunted Attraction; check the ticket page for 2026 hours and location
  6. Sat., Oct. 24: Howl-O-Ween dog costume contest, registration 4 p.m.
  7. Tue., Oct. 27: Food Truck Tuesdays, Honor Park

Four of the seven are built around a food truck lineup or an afternoon at an outdoor venue. Only Eerie Acres is strictly a night out.

What the calendar hasn't settled yet

A few questions remain open, and the city or the organizers will answer them before we can. The movie title for Oct. 17 depends on licensing. The Honor Park truck lineups aren't published. The 2026 hours and prices for Eerie Acres aren't on the city page, and neither listing for Howl-O-Ween gives a location.

There's more coming after October, too. The city's October newsletter, posted Oct. 5, includes a "Save the Date" for more fall and Christmas events. Those dates hadn't been published in a readable form when this was written. The City of Semmes events calendar is where November and December will show up first.

Everything above is at an address in Semmes: Wulff Road, Stone Road and Snow Road. Morris Hill Road too, if Eerie Acres is back at last year's location.
